PEAT FILTER SYSTEMS


Used on At-Grade and stream discharge systems, small foot print easily hidden in landscape, sized to 500 gallons per day, fast becoming a desired system. 

AT-GRADE TYPE SYSTEMS


Can be used in place of mound system, appearance of a minor landscape feature, much less noticeable than a typical high mound system.

SPRAY IRRIGATION SYSTEMS


Used on poor shallow soils, used less often than most systems, sometimes only system that will allow site to be built upon. 

Elevated Sand Mound Systems


Commonly considered a standard system, shallower soils required to permit, large landscape feature, most noticeable of all types of systems. 

INGROUND SYSTEM


Basic minimum system, very deep well drained soils required, completely buried, found less often in most areas.

Rathmann Plumbing and Heating, Inc. designs and installs all of the six main types of septic systems approved for use in Pennsylvania. We typically handle the siting, permitting and installing of engineered systems. We contract with professional engineers, as well as local soil scientists to generate the designs as required by the Pennsylvania Code. We are capable of permitting and installing a single family residential system or a large commercial system, and every size system in between. We specialize in hard to permit sites. Rathmann Plumbing & Heating, Inc. will perform all the design requirements to obtain any PA permit, and provide complete installation services. We install and permit all the septic systems included in the PA Code, Chapter 73, and the PA Domestic Wastewater Facilities Manual, or the PA Land Application Manual. Currently Rathmann Plumbing and Heating Inc. has 13 employees with over 170 combined years of experience. Four of those employees are solely employed in the installation of 30 – 40 septic systems of all types each year, all with company owned equipment. Rathmann Plumbing and Heating Inc. has been an innovator in the septic system business since 1976, focusing on Engineered type systems.
